What is a J-1 Visa?
The J-1 Visa is a type of visa issued to foreign students, who are participating in culture exchange programs like Work And Travel, KAMP USA, CAMP USA, Trainee/Internship. Specifically in a Work and Travel program this type of visa allows students to work in the USA for up to 4 months. After the 4 months students will get a grace period of 30 days, which they can dedicate to traveling or some other leisure.
What's in it for me?
Our services are absolutely free of charge for employers. All students are very hardworking and responsible. So, you get great employees for a busy season, who will pay less tax and are very hardworking absolutely free of charge.
Do I pay for your services?
No, Addrian does not charge any fees to employers participating in the program.
Do they have permission to work in the U.S.?
Yes, all participants in the program are fully authorized too work in the U.S., students will get their SSN and pay federal and state taxes.
Do I have to provide accommodation?
It's not mandatory, however if you have available lodging or if you help students with lodging, it's very good, and we appreciate all your help, but if you don't have that opportunity, we will help students with lodging and it isn't going to be a problem.
Will the student be issued a SSN?
Yes, all participants are being issued a social security card.
Do the students pay taxes?
Yes, international students have to pay Federal and State taxes, but not the Medicare and Social Security taxes.
Do I have to provide a student with a medical insurance?
No. All students participating in our program are medically insured. There insurance is our responsibility.
Can a student extend employment?
No. This is prohibited by the program conditions. However a student is not prohibited to come back to same place next season.
